However we are connected…whether through coaching, consulting, collegial association, allyship, or perhaps we are just good friends…THANK YOU for being a subscriber and a part of Mandala Leadership Coaching!
Growing this business as a 60-something introvert with a huge desire to be of loving service to others, still make a living, and achieve a work/life integration that fits for this age has been quite a journey. But then, I’ve always been a pioneer! I love living on a growing edge, and it means a lot to have you with me.
I am very fond of nostalgia, and as the years go by, there is certainly more and more to be nostalgic about and grateful for.
But along with that, I feel the imperative to keep looking ahead. The women and men my age and older who seize the day with their passion, their wisdom, their energy, and their enduring commitment to realize a more healthy, equitable, and humane world keep me fired up.
AND wow…do I ever treasure my younger sisters and brothers who are coming up, taking the reins of leadership, bringing their fresh visions, smarts, and guts to also realize a more healthy, equitable, and humane world. I’m so humbled and inspired by you. What a pure honor it is to be your coach!
So, together we enter this new year already full of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. What this “VUCA” acronym misses is the word OPPORTUNITY, and that is where I invite us all to stay focused.
The opportunity before you today may be immediate–as simple as preparing a compelling presentation for senior leaders or resolving an issue with a direct report. It may be much bigger and longer term–how to navigate your organization, your business unit, your team successfully through the months or years ahead. Or, you may be very ready to open doors to a new and uplifting vista for your life.
Let’s make a pact to keep our eyes on the best prize. And to take care of each other. The work is hard. The potential is great! And I’m ready to help.
